This blog is my outlet for more polished examples of my intellectual naivete than generally appear elseweb, and a landing space for writing-based projects, which are sometimes the same thing.

The title is a reference to David Graeber’s brief definition of ritual in Chapter Three of Debt, because it is beautiful and resonant: “an act of respect and recognition to all that beside which we are small.”
